Albania - Eugent Bushpepa | ||

Eugent Bushpepa born in 2July 1984 in Rrëshen, is an Albanian singer and songwriter. He is the representative of Albania in the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the 56th edition of Festivali i Këngës with the song "Mall". Eugent or Gent Bushpepa started singing at an early age, after finishing high School he decides to leave Albania and live in Italy for few years. In 2006 and after his returning to Albania he started working as a singer on a Talk Show at Top Channel, based in Tirana, Albania. Year after year Gent become one of the best-known singers in Albania, his breakthrough was with the rock song “Maska e Madheshtise”, released in 2007 during Top Fest4. In the same competition he was also singed with the rock band Sunrise the song “Engjell”. But that was only the beginning, Eugent started making music and participating in several competitions and Festivals. Bushpepa made his own band and had the honour to support the historical band Deep Purple during their concert in Albania in March 2007 as part of the Rapture of the Deep tour. Four year later his international career highlited when he and his band supported Duff McKagan on their Loaded band tour in Tirana. In 2013 Eugent performed with Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, the guitarist of Guns N' Roses in a beer festival in Korçë and one year later supported Overkill in their Kill Fest 2014 tour around Europe. Twenty two songs was participated this year at the 56th “Festivali i Këngës”, after two semi-finals Eugent won the Festival with the song “Mall”, a song that is written and composed by Bushpepa himself. Albania will compete in the First half of the First Semi-Final at the 8 May in Lisbone. |

Armenia - Sevak Khanagyan | ||

Sevak Khanagyan is a Russian-Armenian singer and songwriter, born in 1987 in Metsavan, a small village in the Lori Province. When he was little his parents moved from Armenia to Kursk in Russia. He studied Music in Moscow and graduated with a degree in 2014. His first attempt to enter the Show Biz was in 2015 when he entered the first season of Glavnaya Stsena, the Russian version of The X-Factor but unfortunately, he was eliminated in the quarter-finals. He became well known with his participation in the fourth season of the popular TV Show The Voice of Russia in the same year, beside the coach Polina Gagarina who represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest Austria 2015. One year later, in 2016, Sevak participated and won the seventh season of The X-Factor Ukraine, mentored by Anton Savlepov. The following year he returned to his home country Armenia and became a coach in The Voice Armenia. The next step in his career was his participation on the TV Show Depi Evratesil 2018 with the song Quami. On February 21st Sevak qualified from the second semi-final to the final that took place on 25 February. Sevak won the Depi Evratesil 2018 and he will represent Armenia during the Second Semi-Final at 8 May. |

Australia - Jessica Mauboy | ||

Jessica Mauboy is a singer, songwriter and actress, born and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory in 1989. She has three older sisters Sandra, Jenny and Catherine, and a younger sister Sophia. From early age she was involved with her grandmother in the local church choir. Music was always part of her life, in her house her mother often singing and her father playing the guitar. At the age of fourteen Jessica found herself at the Tamworth competition at the 2004 Tamworth Country Music Festival in Tamworth, New South Wales. She won, and she travelled for the first time in Sydney where she scored a recording deal with Sony Music Australia. From that collaboration a country-inspired rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was released but unfortunately without any correspondence and Mauboy returned to Darwin. In 2006 Jessica took part in the fourth season of Australian Idol, she made it through the final, but she didn’t win the show. Two weeks after the ending of the show she signed a contract with Sony Music Australia and on 24 February 2007 she released her debut album live album The Journey. A year later Mauboy joined as a new member the girl group Young Divas, and in the same time she worked on her first solo studio album. After a year with the band she announced that she will follow solo career and the group disbanded. Been Waiting was released in 2008, the solo studio album of Jessica. The album was certified double platinum and gave her new possibilities and her first steps of an international career. She signed a contract with the UK Ministry of Sound, she entered the Top 100 of the Japanese Albums Chart, won three awards of Deadly Awards, nominated for seven categories at the Aria Music Awards and served as a support act for Flo Rida and Beyoncé. In 2010 Jessica released her second studio album entitled Get 'Em Girls, where she was co-wrote eight of the ten album tracks. Two years later she recorded fifteen tracks for the soundtrack of The Sapphires', where she plaid Julie, and in 2013 released her third studio album Beautiful. Eurovision came for the first time in her life in 2014 where she was performing the song "Sea of Flags" as an interval act at the Second Semi-Final in Denmark. Immediately after, she started to work on her fourth studio album but in 2015 The Secret Daughter gave her the chance to unfold once again her acting talent and from that collaboration her first individual soundtrack album, The Secret Daughter: Songs from the Original TV Series, made big success. In 2017 her second individual soundtrack album, The Secret Daughter Season Two: Songs from the Original 7 Series, was released on October 6 and two months later SBS, the National Broadcaster of Australia, announced that Mauboy is the artist that will represent Australia at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The song that will perform in the stage of Eurovision called We Got Love and it's written by Australian hit makers DNA SONGS duo David Musumeci and Anthony Egizii in collaboration with Jessica. Australia will compete in the First Half of the Second Semi-Final at 8 May.

He worked as a social worker for many years, he is known for being a part of the music formations Symphonix International and Electric Church. Cesár is already a Eurovision Family member, we know him from his participation as a backing vocalist for the Bulgarian entry of Poli Genova If Love Was a Crime in 2016 and under the same flag in 2017 with the entry Beautiful Mess. This year the National Broadcaster of Azerbaijan decided to represented by Aisel at the 63rd edition of Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018 with the song “X my heart” (cross my heart). The song has been written by the Greek producer and songwriter Dimitris Kontopoulos and the lyricist of Azerbaijan’s winning entry “Running Scared” in Eurovision 2011, Sandra Bjurman. Aisel said; "X My Heart" was my favourite song from the first moment I heard it. The music gave me a positive, uplifting feeling while performing it has a power that made me enjoy every second in the studio. I feel a strong connection with the lyrics of the song, since believing in myself made me overcome several difficulties I had in my life. This is a message I want to send to everyone: believing in yourself can make you “stronger than cannonballs”. I also like the way Sandra Bjurman played with my name, since “Aisel” in Azerbaijani means “the path of the moon”. Finally, I am thrilled to be working with such an international team. Professionals from Azerbaijan, Greece, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Cyprus, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine are all working together for this entry. For me Eurovision is a contest that unites people around Europe through music. I am really proud to be representing my country in this event." In 2016 he manages to release three more singles "Dreams of Shards", "Oceans of Steel" and "Feeling Soul" and gain numerous awards including Breakthrough Artist of The Year at the Russian MUZ-TV Awards and Breakthrough Artist of The Year at the Ukrainian M1 Music Awards. In 2017 his career takes-off by winning several categories in ZD Awards and Top Hit Music Awards, including "Breakthrough Artist of The Year" and "Artist of The Year". The same year Alekseev made his first Ukrainian Tour which made huge success. Alekseev took part in the National Election of Belarus for the artist that will represent the country at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest and won. "The song describes the way you can find beauty in transience, how you can see the beauty in something precious that gets broken", explains Sennek. The message that song convey is that adversity and bad experiences can become opportunities for people to grow and realize that beauty can be found even in little things. Georgi Simeonov
JJ is a singer, songwriter and vocal producer. He debuted in the music industry was as a member of the popular Bulgarian boy band 032. He began his solo career in 2013 and released the songs Po-Dobre, Che Razbrah and Dilar Na Lubov. JJ teaches pop, soul and RnB singing and has masterclasses in Sofia and Plovdiv. He worked as vocal producer for the albums of one of Bulgaria’s biggest music artists.
Johnny Manuel
Johnny Manuel is from Flint, Michigan, USA. He has been performing since his childhood, even touring with NSYNC at the age of 14. In 2017 he reached the Semi-Finals of America's Got Talent. In the same year Elina became a member of the LTL opera studio at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, where she sang the role of Valencienne in Lehár’s The Merry Widow. The same period (2015-2016), she played as a guest at the Estonian Drama Theater "Kaart ja territoorium". In addition to EZMA Music Agency, Elina collaborated with "Eesti Kontserdiga" and Professor Helina Kapten, Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, and performed in concerts in Estonia and abroad. Elina was with Marko Reikop the hosts of the semi-finals of Eesti Laul 2017. This year she decided to participate in the National Selection, Eesti Laul 2018, with the song “La Forza”. The song is written by Mihkel Mattisen, Timo Vendt, Ksenia Kuchukova and Elina Nechayeva. Four years later she enters the thirteenth season of The X-Factor UK in the team of Simon Cowell, she made it to the final but she didn’t won the show. Finnish National Broadcaster Yle, gave to Aalto the privilege to represent her country at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018. Iriao are an ethnic folk group consisted by David Malazonia-keyboard, composer, Arranger, David Kavtaradze – Georgian folk instruments, Bidzina Murgulia- vocals, Levan Abshilava- drums, percussion, Shalva Gelekva – bass, George Abashidze- vocals and Mikheil Javakhishvili – vocals. The name Iriao comes from the common phrase “Iriao-uruao” of the famous Georgian jodling singing style “Krimanchuli”. The leader of Iriao, David Malazonia is one of first Georgian composers who have combined folk music and jazz. He is known for his successful compositions for numerous films and theatrical pieces both in Georgia and Germany. He has also written music for the legendary Georgian band ADIO. In 2013 David made his own band, Iriao, and made their debut performance in June 2013 in Tbilisi. In 2006 he joined the band Jukebox, where he met his future band members Alexandru, Adrian and Cristina. Like Alexandru Matei, Alexandru Cismaru graduated from George Enescu Music Academy where he studied guitar. Lea Sirk born in 1989, she is a Slovenian singer and a songwriter and started her musical education at the age of five in Koper, Slovenia. Lea studied at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva and between 2001 and 2007, she participated at numerous national and international competitions. In 2005, Lea received the award for the most promising young singer at the International Music Competition Cologne. Alfred García Castillo is a Spanish singer born on 14 March 1997 in El Prat de Llobregat, Catalonia. At the age of seven he began training vocals and studying the trombone. His is a talented young men self-taught guitarist, drummer and keyboardist. When he was fifteen García released a self-produced album under the name Beginning. Amaia Romero Arbizu born on 3 January 1999 in Pamplona, Navarre. She is a Spanish singer and piano performer. In 2010 Amaia participated in the children’s talent show Cántame una canción on Telecinco. Two years later she took part on the first season of the talent show El Número Uno on Antena 3. But she became very known with her participation on the ninth series of Operación Triunfo. Where she won with García the golden ticket for the Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018. Spain is one of the Big5 and will perform on the Grand Final at 12 May. |

Worked on radio jingles for RTL, FFN, SAW, Radio Munot and Radio Fribourg. Corine worked with famous artists such as Donna Summer, Prince, The Sessions Band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, LP, Marc Storace, Scott Weiland and was the leading singer for Art on Ice, Basel Tattoo (2010 & 2017), and the European leg of the We Will Rock You: 10th Anniversary Tour by Queen. Stefan in born in 1987. He studied music in Winterthur where he completed his SMPV Diploma. He worked as a drummer and producer for several artists including Gölä and Bastian Baker. Except Zibbz, Stee is a member of the punk drum collective Street Drum Corps. The duo took part at the National Selection of Switzerland and won with the song “Stones”, written by Corinne Gfeller, Stee Gfeller, Laurell Barker. Switzerland will compete during the second half of the First Semi-Final at 8 May. |

Willem Bijkerk is bonr in 1980, he adopted his stage name from his idol Waylon Jennings. His career was started in 1995 when he sang the chorus of the song “Harry Stallion” in the television program Telekids. Country music was great inspiration from his childhood. He used to play drams with the band West Virginian Railroad and in 1997 he signed a contract with EMI Records and went to Nashville to record an album, but unfortunately it was never completed. In 2001 he worked in United States beside his idol Waylon Jennings, but after Jennings’s death in 2002 Waylon returned to the Netherlands. The next steps in his career was the band Santa Rosa, the band Millstreet and in 2005 he formed with Rachel Kramer the duo Rachel & Waylon and performed “Leven als een beest” in the preliminary rounds of the National Song Contest. Waylon took part in the first season of Holland's Got Talent on SBS 6 in 2008 and a year later Universal Music signed him as the first Dutchman to the Motown label. His first album had the title Wicked Way (2009) and in 2011 After All was his second studio album. For the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Waylon formed with Ilse Delange the duo The Common Linnets and sang the country/bluegrass song “Calm After the Storm”. They gained the second place with a total of 238 points behind Conchita Wurst from Austria, who scored 290 points. Later that year Waylon released his third studio album entitled Heaven After Midnight, and three year later, in 2017, he was picked up by the Dutch Broadcaster AVROTROS as the artist who will represent The Netherlands at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. Five songs were written for this occasion, but “Outlaw In 'Em” was chosen from the public to represent The Netherlands during the first half of the Second Semi-final at 10 May. |

Kostyantyn Mykolayovych Bocharov is the Ukrainian singer and songwriter Mélovin. Born on 11 April 1997 in Odessa, Ukraine. At a young age Mélovin became interested in music, he began attending a music school, but he subsequently enrolled in a theatre school, which he graduated from. He auditioned three times for The X-Factor Ukraine till his entrance in the season six in 2015 where he won. His debut single released one year later, in 2016, with the title “Ne odinokaya”. Mélovin’s first attempt to enter the Eurovision Family was in 2017 where he participated in the National Selection of Ukraine with the song “Wonder” but he placed third. A year later he wrote the song “Under the Ladder” and competed in the second semi-final of Ukrainian Selection, he was qualified to the final and won. Ukraine will be represented at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest by Mélovin in the second half of the Second Semi-Final at 10 May. |
