Tayanna is one of the most beautiful and talented artists in Ukraine, her songs are always connected with powerful music, lyrics and unique performances. Tayanna this year hope to represent her country at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with the song “Леля” (Lelya). We are very proud and privileged to host Tayanna in 12points.gr. We like to thank her from the bottom of our hearts and have the chance to enjoy her marvellous and powerful song in the stage of Eurovision. GOOD LUCK Tayanna, you deserve it!
Tayanna, this year you have a very strong song with powerful vocals, what “Леля” means to you? Can you tell us a few words about the song and the people behind it?
The song Lelya is my personal story. Like all my previous songs. However, it radically differs from all my previous ones. It is positive, energetic, without regrets and sorrow. And it, unlike any other composition, describes how I have changed within the last year! I hope that Lelya will charge with the drive not only Ukrainians, but the people from different corners of the world! I am the author and composer of the song and the sound producer is Vitaliy Telesin who worked with me on the album Trimay.
You will perform on 17th February during the second semi-final of the National selection under the #4. What to expect from your performance?
Drive! Promise, it will be very interesting!
Your song is in your native language, in case of winning the National selection you will perform it in the same language in Lisbon or you will try it in English that everyone can understand?
Lyrics for Lelya “was born” in the Ukrainian language which conveys the color of the song. Unfortunately, after translation authenticity is often lost. There is a possibility that for the first time at Eurovision the song will be in the Ukrainian language. Because it is so melodic! I am sure that everyone will understand what is the song about even without the translation. As the music is a universal language of emotions!
You have always been a Eurovision admirer?
I always tried to follow the events of Eurovision. After all, this is one of the largest and most prestigious competitions! It gathers around not just talented artists from different countries, but also talented producers, art directors. Eurovision is a festival of music. And I'm interested in everything that is connected with music, which helps to learn something new for myself.
As a person, what is the importance of music in your life?
I would say that music is my life. I have been dreaming about a big stage since childhood. This is an indescribable feeling when you go out in front of the public, give your energy and get a charge several times stronger in return! Writing songs helps me keep the balance of energy. Through the lines, I share my experience and, in general, my life. I cannot imagine myself outside of music.
Who was your greatest influences in music from your childhood?
My favorite singer is Beyonce. I always followed the development of her career. It seems to me that she is the strongest performer, at the same time very sexy, with a powerful energy! Since my childhood, I was impressed by the lyrical and dramatic soprano of Celine Dion. Her songs are still in the playlist of my player. As well as the compositions of Whitney Houston.
What are your favourite Ukrainian entries and what your favourite songs from Eurovision?
I really liked the performance of Jamala and her song 1944. She is a very talented singer, masterfully using the voice. Speaking about the performances of Eurovision representatives from other countries, I liked "Ne partez pas sans moi" by Celine Dion, "Waterloo" by ABBA, "Molitva" by Maria Sherifovich and "Euphoria" by Loreen.<br /
Yianna Terzis is a unique person for the Greek Show Biz, as her talent is closely linked to her ethos and her extremely cheerful and communicative personality. Born and raised in Thessaloniki, she received the first musical stimuli when she was still a child, the music in her family is not a way of life but life itself!
Yianna began her first steps in music from a very young age, her debut album "Girna To Kleidi" made her widely known as the song "Pou kai Pou" stole the impressions and turned the eyes of the listeners on her. Her excellent voice, color, metal, but especially the breadth of her interpretation are those that established her as one of the most promising voices of the Greek Show Biz.
As an anxious artistic spirit, Yianna made a great turn in her career, to evolve and experience new musical and artistic experiences. For almost ten consecutive years she lived in New York and Los Angeles working and learning next to world-class artistic personalities such as Red One, R City, Dr. Luke and others.
Love Is Your Name was one of the single where Yianna was released and won the impressions. The collaborations and the experiences of working alongside Grammy-winning or Grammy-awarded artists gave her a different depth of field and gave her a collaboration as Talent Scouter for A & R Epic Records with Vice President of Interscope Records, and Universal Music, two world music giants industry.
Yianna has learned from a young age to be exposed and performs impeccably every performance in front of thousands of viewers. From Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion to Michael Jackson, with the greatest influences in her life, Yianna gained the most important of all, the artist never rests, evolves, creates, offers and given passionately in his art.

Our new guests here in 12points.gr will be Valentina Monetta and Jimmie Wilson from San Marino. We just tried to ask Valentina which her favourite song would be out of the four including those from the past of course. Jimmie however interrupts us reversing the question regarding his first time in the contest that we should ask about...Valentina claims that she cannot answer that question and all songs are just one inside her. She goes on singing a couple of her songs in one making fun out of it. Jimmie informs us that his collabotation with Valentina was introduced within the Esc but it will go on in the future with more concerts and recordings. Jimmie notices that his experience with the Eurovision Song Contest is amazing and that as an American he has not seen something like that before apart from a talent show in Poland. Finally just in case San Marino wins - much to Valentina's wish - apart from her backyard as Jimmie argues, she thinks that the whole country within its borders could be used as an arena since it offers the same size apparently!!!

We are glad having here our next guest, Mr Jacques Houdek, the Croatian representative in this contest. Our first question is whether he was always a Eurovision fan...He replied by singing "Hold me now" the winning 1987 song by Johny Logan... This is when he fell in love with Eurovision is at the age of five and he has been a fan ever since. We continue our talk by asking him about his first impression about the contest and the stage. He told us how privileged as well as honoured he felt by doing his first rehearsal on stage. Although as he said he feels scared a bit, all of his emotions are mixed but good ones."It's amazing being able to represent Croatia on stage". He reminded us that he has tried five times in the past and in 2011 he ended up 2nd with his entry becoming a big hit. His fate though as he noticed was to take part at this year's contest though...Finally we could not avoid asking whether he feels more of a singer or an opera tenor! He stressed the fact that he started his career as a classical tenor and how much he loved the whole thing. At the same time though he used to listen to pop singers so his heart was taking him to more popular music. Classical music as he said always stays at the back of his mind but this time he's happy to do something different for this contest especially now that it fits in so well with the "Diversity" concept. For the end of our talk Jacques wished to say a big "thank you" in advance for any votes that may come from Greece. There is a lot of passion as he said in both countries along the same coastline.

We are here with Barei, the representative of Spain, Hello Barei and Good Luck!
Hello, how are you, Thank you!
Do you think that your choice for English for the lyrics of your song will help?
It helps for the style of my song I don’t know if has to be an advantage or disadvantage, I don’t think that. But works better with the style, you know, the sound, this kind of music.
This kind of song
Yeah, this kind of music! My sound it takes it’s influences from American pop, British pop, Soul, Black music, so it doesn’t work if I kill the roots inside!
What does this song mean to you as well your original moves ….
My Footsteps?
Yes!!!
The idea! Well I’ve been doing this since I was like nine years old more or less and my friends call it “My happy feet” …. No no “My Happy Step!” … My Happy Step! And someone is telling me that is going to change the name from “Happy step” to “Crazy feet”. Now I am the “Crazy Feet”.
How much does the life of an artist change when she represents a whole country?
WOW! It is the biggest responsibility I’ve ever had and the biggest present also! So I just want to enjoy. I don’t want the pressure because of that responsibility that is bigger than me, I want to enjoy this moment, to have fun, to give 200% of me, and I would like you to enjoy my performance, those three minutes! I don’t care about the position Is about the feeling!
And a message for the Greek fans?
A message, just be you be yourself and don’t let anybody tell you that are not to be able to do anything in your life because you have your will power. You are able to do whatever you wanna do in life. And go for it, with effort, with love and persistence.
That was Barei from Spain I wish her good luck.
Thank you so much!!!
I hope for the higher position!!!
Thanks for your support! Kisses by to everyone!!!

Today I met one of the most beloved artists of this year’s Eurovision, here in the Globe Arena, Mr. Serhat Hacıpaşalıoğlu, “The Noble Knight of San Marino” as our Team Manager, Stefanos Garofakalis, named him in Serhat’s first interview on our site 12points.gr.

Serhat’s international music career had huge success with the single “Total Disguise” which he performed in duet with the French singer Viktor Lazlo, who hosted the ESC 1987 in Brussels. His following single “Chocolate Flavour” became another popular hit, especially in Greece.

Hello Serhat
Geia sas Greece
As you can see he knows Greek because he loves very much Greece. He was visited Athens a few days ago.
Mr. Serhat, you always been a Eurovision fan?
Exactly since 1974, since I was a child.
Do you remember when your first contact with Eurovision was?
In 1974, I was a child in front of the television, I was the witness of ABBA, their victory is a striking moment in my memories.
How do you feel being the face of San Marino?
It’s very honouring me because I always say it’s the flags, the honour of the nations, and another country which is the oldest republic of the world, that is San Marino, this country giving its flag to you and asks you “Now you have to represent me”. This is a big big honour that you can imagine for any artist so I’m so…. I can’t explain it with words, of course it is a big responsible at the same time but I’m so glad, I’m so happy getting this opportunity in my life.
And a message for the Greek fans.
Greek fans, Greece, as I always say it is my second home. Greece is for me really home with my friends, my beloved friends like my family, that’s why Greece is always here. My Greek fans they supported me so many years now because Greece is the first country in the world maybe more than Turkey who supported my international career. Greece is the first country which pay attention “Hello, this guy has something, lets continue”, and I was always in good hands, Greece treated me since the beginning since “Total Disguise” with Viktor Lazlo, so I am thankful to my Greek fans to Greece, it’s my second home it’s always here in my heart!
Mr. Serhat loves very much Greece, and for her support. Don’t forget that Nektarios Tyrakis wrote the lyrics for the entry of San Marino.
Mr. Serhat I wish you the best of luck, I hope to see you in the final…
All together!!!
So I wish you good luck and thank you for this conversation.
Thank you so much, you and your blood, you supported me so well, you found the expression “The Noble Knight of San Marino”, and right now all the media in Turkey and abroad they using it, you give me a title! Thank you so much!

We like to thank Czech Republic and Martin Brož for the updates of their representative Gabriela Gunčíková.
About Gabriela Gunčíková
This young talented singer with the largest vocal range on the contemporary Czech pop music scene was born in Kroměříž twenty-two years ago. She has lived for music since her childhood, winning her first singing award at the age of thirteen. Five years later she was named Discovery of the Year in the Český slavík 2011 poll. She has released two albums and also appeared in Czech musicals. Today she is setting off for a tour across the United States.
From a young age she gravitated towards rock music. She played the guitar for six years and has sung and played in a number of bands. A milestone in her singing career was second place in the competition Česko Slovensko hledá Superstar (Czech Republic and Slovakia Search for a Superstar) in 2011. She has released two albums in which she also participated as a songwriter – DVOJÍ TVÁŘ (DOUBLE FACE - 2011), which had become the number ten top selling album in the Czech Republic after a week of being released, and CELKEM JINÁ (QUITE DIFFERENT - 2013). In mid-2013 she contacted one of the world’s most well-known vocal coaches Ken Tamplin. I stand
I’ve worn the path
I’ve hit the wall
I’m the one who rose and fall
I’ve played my heart
When I played the part
But it got me through the rain
I have felt the strain
I’ve made mistakes
With the monsters in my head
But in the end
You’re standing there
You’re the one who always cares
Cause I stand
I stand
I am standing here
Just because of you
Every part of me is a part of you
I stand
I’m standing tall
I can hold it all
Now I see where I belong
The choice I made
helped me understand
Now this life is mine to play
I am thanking you, you made me
You are my air
I’ll always care!
I stand...
You never lose hold of me
You always trust and you see
I stand
I stand.
Laura Tesoro is only 19 years old, she is one of the most multitalented artists of this year’s Eurovision. She sings, dances, acts and presents. Her parents are both music artists, she inherited from them her Belgian – Italian roots and her incredible vocal and music abilities.
At the age of 8 she got her first role in television and three years after, at 11 years old, she was starting in the musical Annie.
Laura loves up-tempo pop with a dash of funk and soul. She performs with her own live band and she has already released several of her own songs.
Her representing song “What’s the pressure” is a creation of the famous Belgian singer-songwriter Selah Sue (Sanne Putseys) and produced by the Brit Peter Gordeno, who plays keyboards with Depeche Mode.
You won’t be surprised if I told you that Laura adores Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars.
I must say that I feel very, very honoured for this interview, Laura Tesoro is one of my favourite this year and I warmly welcome her in our site!
You are very young talented and very fresh artist! Definitely one of the most impressive artists this year, you always wanted to be a singer?
Thank you very much for the compliment. I have been singing ever since I was little, but I decided to become a singer after my participation in The Voice.
You are Eurovision fan, you watched it from your childhood?
As a kid I always watched the junior Song contest, I even still have a CD.
Which are your favourite Eurovision songs and what is your favourite from Belgium?
My all time favourite Eurovision Song is Euphoria. It’s a great song, every one knows it and can sing along. My favourite one from Belgium was last year’s ‘Rhythm inside’ from Loic! I love the song!
What is the message of “What’s The Pressure”?
The message is, that you always have to stay true to yourself and that you have to do whatever you want to do with your life and not to try and live up to expectations of others.
Your song makes our feet move!!! What do you expect from the Eurovision Song Contest?
That’s exactly what I want, I want to see the audience dance on my song! I hope it’s gonna be one big party during the performance!
How do you feel with this representation? You are the face of Belgium in whole world this year, do you feel pressure?
I think it’s a honour to represent your country, but of course I want to make Belgium proud, so I’m gonna do the best I can! Maybe even more! ;)
What else should we know about Laura except her great talent in music and singing?
I talk and laugh a lot! I love performing and being on stage but beside that I just love life and I wanna enjoy every second of it. And I am addicted to sneakers haha mostly Nike’s
I hope you live your dream in Stockholm this May and make all your dreams reality. Before we close do you want to give a message to your Greek fans?
Thank you so much! I hope I can make all your feet move and by the way: I love Greek food! J
Thank you very much for this interview! You are the absolute positive energy! I wish you the BEST in the stage of Eurovision in Stockholm, Sweden in the second semi-final at the 12 th of May, and I hope all your dreams come true!
That was the marvellous Laura Tesoro! Thank you our readers and I hope you enjoy our conversation like I did!

Eurovision Song Contest 2016, the national broadcaster of Greece, ERT, decided to send in the 61st song contest a band that has caused a sensation in the recent months, Argo. The band not just manage to surprise all of us but also to impress us and gain our appreciation. The song "Utopian Land" which will take part in the first semi-final impressed the Greek audience and worthily gained our respect.
I had the pleasure and honour to be able to meet in person the members of the band and be able to “steal” some of the valuable time of Vladimiros Sofianidos, singer of the band, to make a brief but comprehensive interview.
Argo and Greece 2016, how did this represent came?
We requested to write a song from the production and finally ended at Eurovision without knowing. We didn’t know anything!
You were always fans of the Eurovision Contest?
Yes! I always followed the evolution of the contest, I remember that as a little boy I liked the contest of Eurovision.
How did Argo formed?
Argo are not formed for the competition, we existed before. We formed in 2001 and I remember we released our first cd single for fun, we were then 16 to 17 years old. Most members of the group are the same but the recent years, because of the unforeseen economic conditions some of the band left for Germany and abroad to find work, surely they left 2-3 people from till now. The others who stayed here continued to do what we do until today. We stopped live performances but we gathered at the Studio, and created, wrote, played, the work progressed.
You are a band that mixes tradition with modern music, it is difficult to create such songs?
It is very difficult, and I want to say something on this, hopefully one that was so many years to a small extent to evolve and become more great because now we have the opportunity. I remember parents coming to me who have young children 8-9 years old and they did not know the Pontian dialect while came from Pontus, and wanted to learn through the songs because as you know from the lyrics the language expressions learned better and easier and you can use them in your everyday life. This for me was a great honour, I felt that what I do had resonance, it filled me mentally. As a member of my generation I am helping with my own way to continue the tradition, the dialect and the Pontiac history.
The song that will represent us in Eurovision "Utopian Land", what it means to you and what message you want to send in Europe?
Yes certainly there is a message that we want to send, the central point of the song is against the war and against the existence of the refugees. When there are no wars, there are no refugees, I wish every refugee be a tourist, and be able to have homeland and his utopia.
Our song is experiential, begins with the verse “Planitis Ghi 2016 / oti ki an kanoun / i genia mas tha t' anteksei” (Planet Earth 2016 / No matter what they do / Our generation will endure) speaks for now, for me my utopia when I was eight years old was Greece, I was coming here with my parents for a better tomorrow because we were leaving Georgia from the bombs. Georgia had a civil war then. There was war between Georgians and we were in the middle, we the "Greco". Then Greece sent aid and took some of us but I was late, I stayed there and I say this with the lyrics “Hop Hop / temeteron hip hop / perame isitiria / ke pame sto aeroport” (Hop, hop / This is our very own hip hop / We got the tickets and we’ re off to the airport). With joy we went to leave, but then encountered difficulties but we fought. And now you see that it gets back the same situation, from Greece our brothers go again abroad for another utopia, to help their child live a better life, for a better future, because in Greece they will not have a future if this situation doesn’t change.
And finally, what message would you send to your Greeks and foreign fans and supporters?
We will do our best, everything for Pontus for Pontian dialect, to get the best place in Stockholm. We will give 100% of ourselves to make proud the Greeks living in the country and the Hellenic / Pontian Diaspora all over the world. Born in Paris in 1984, Amir has inside him all the cultures. With origins from Tunisia from his father, Morocco-Spanish from her mother, French from his birth and Israeli from his life.
His ambition since he was a child was to be an artist, he dreamed of performing on stage in front of big audience. In 2013 Amir took part in the TV Talent Show “The Voice” in France, the audience loved him and brought him to the final.
“Au coeur de moi” is the title of the debut album of Amir. The album includes themes that the singer cherishes, his spirituality, his idealism and musical influences.
One of the most promising artist in France, Amir delivers his message with his first single “J’ai cherché.”
We have the honour to host in our site the incredible new talent of France Mr. Amir, in a very special and joyful conversation.
First of all, congratulations for your representation!
So Amir, music was always your passion?
Yes! Of course, from my childhood!
Who was your influence in music from your childhood? Have you had Idols in your childhood?
Honestly yes, I had many dreams when I was younger, dreams of been like Michael Jackson. Later on I thought about Stevie Wonder and Elton John who was my big influences. Today my strongest reference in music is the group One Republic from United States, and from France Patrick Bruel who is also an actor except an incredible singer.
Who was the person who believed in your possibilities and helped you be who you are today?
I will surprise you with my answer, Patrick Bruel himself! He came to perform in Israel in 2008, and he offered me the opportunity to come on stage and sing with him a song of his that I have translated to Hebrew. I was a very beginner singer I had only one thing in mind that was my Dentistry study, the way this offer came I said immediately “Yes” and I was so touched to have such a big opportunity in the beginning of my career, I didn’t even have a career, it gave me the start, it was very generous, he wanted to help me. By the way he wrote a song for the Eurovision for France few years ago.
You always been a Eurovision fan?
Yes, Yes! Today even more but I always watched the show with my family.
Which are your favourite Eurovision songs and what is your favourite from France?
From the past I would say “L'oiseau et l'enfant” of Marie Myriam, from the present I would say “Euphoria” from Loreen and my best French entry in the last years was from Jessy Matador “Allez Olla Olé.”
France is one of the first seven countries that made Eurovision Song Contest reality. Do you feel any pressure for the long history that your country has?
Well, the French history in Eurovision was glorious in the beginning, two years after it was created they won and they won again two years later and again two years later, then after 1977 became the first country that won the Eurovision for five times. They had enormous expectations from France back then but till then something happened, it’s been almost forty years that France didn’t have the chance to win the contest or even the last years is hard for France to be in the Top 10.
So, of course I feel a part of a big history and I think that France deserves to be put back in the important countries of Eurovision with glorious representations. I really hope from the bottom of my heart to be able to bring honour to my country, I will do my best and I have so much to prove. We are working very hard with one thing in mind “We want to do well!”
You have a very beautiful song with a very powerful clip, what “J’ai cherché” means to you?
And with a Greek Tae Kwon Do fighter! It means what I have been looking for, I have try to find during all of my life which was not probably my first profession, and I was so happy to let music come into my life and make it way better. So, the song speaks about the time I was looking for something to be happier, when I found music I definitely became stronger and I want to thank the music for what I t brought to me by singing “You are the one that’s making me strong”, this is what I felt for music and until now I’m thanking music every day with a smile because I am happy to do what I’m doing. This is the story of the song; even though it’s written in a way that everyone can relate to it differently with his own story. Everyone has something that makes him happy and make him proud and makes him feel more indignity.
The truth is that when I heard it I found some fragments of my life of my personal history between the lines! It’s very important for me the music.
I am very very touched about what you think.
And one last question, have you ever been to Greece?
Yes! Many times. By the way today I am going to an interview in French International Radio with Nikos Aliagas. He was the host of “The Voice” in France and a friend of mine. He is very very kind man, very true person.
I even sing in Greek sometimes! Many songs in Israel was translated from Greece.
And many songs from Israel in Greek also. I think Israel and Greece we are very connected!
Yes that is true! I feel at home when I go to Greece, because it’s so much like Israel to me.
So you like Greece… a message to your Greek fans?
Well thank you so much, I am very surprised to discover people from around the world that listened to my music and like it and connect to it. The music has no boundaries and everyone we are a big family thanks to music and thanks to Eurovision.
I want to thank people in Greece for being so welcome and couraging and I hope that they will like my performance on May 14 th.
I like to thank Amir from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful conversation. I hope all his dreams come true and bonne chance in the Grand Final of 14 th of May!
