Michael Schulte is a German singer and songwriter born on 30 April 1990 in Dollerup, a small municipality near Flensburg. In 2008 he started to post covers on his YouTube Channel and in 2012 he participated on the first season of The Voice Of Germany that placed third. His debut album Wide Awake was released in 2012 with the lead single “Carry Me Home”. Michael continue to make music and performances and on 29 December 2017 was confirmed as one of the acts in the National Selection for Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018, Unser Lied für Lissabon. Michael wrote a song about his deceased father with Thomas Stengaard, Nisse Ingwersen and Nina Müller entitled “You Let Me Walk Alone”. The song won the competition and Schulte will represent Germany in the Grand Final, as a member of the Big5 on 12 May. |
