Kaliopi is already known in Eurovision Song Contest because of her participation in Baku 2012. She represented F.Y.R. Macedonia and she reached the 13^th place in the Grand Final.
    After 4 years the national broadcaster of F.Y.R. Macedonia decides to re-send the jewel of the Balkan music industry, Kaliopi, to compete again and “fight” for the victory in the stage of Eurovision Song Contest Stockholm 2016.
    MKRTV said "In her long and rich musical career Kaliopi set high standard and left a lasting stamp in the Macedonian and Balkan music, becoming one of the people's favourite music artist."
    Kaliopi has a very long career in music, song writing, writing songs and music for theatre, films  and ballet. She co-writes her entry with Romeo Grill, the man behind lots of her success and the entry of 2012 in Baku. The representing song for this year is written by Kaliopi herself with the composer Romeo Grill, it's called Dona and it is a very special and powerful ballad.
