Second Semi Final

Malta’s “Warrior”, Amber, is the winner of the National Final of Maltese National Broadcaster. Amber won with the song Warrior, written by composed by Elton Zarb and Muxu. Amber’s first try to the National Final was in 2011, unfortunately she ended 13th with Catch 22, and she had also another one entry the same year in the semi-final with Touch Wood. In 2012 her participant song Answer me with your eyes, took the third place. However she did go onto Baku as a backing vocalist to Kurt Calleja. “Through our lives each and every one of us has suffered some sort of pain, be it physical or emotional, caused either by heartbreak, illness, etc.” Amber said. She believes that her song has a strong but simple message that all people can relate to. Elton Zarb had also two co-wrote songs in the final along with Muxu (also known as Matthew Muxu Mercieca) who had three entries in the final. Amber will represent Malta in the first half of the Second Semi-Final on May 21st in Vienna. |
