Participant Countries 2015
Eurovision 2015 is a very special year for the competition, not only because Conchita brought Eurovision to Austria but Eurovision celebrates her 60 years. In 60 years Eurovision make the original core of this contest reality, to bring all countries together after the Second World War. Under that cause Europe became one nation and every year celebrates together the annual Eurovision Song Contest, the most long living TV Show in the world.
Like every year, all concerned countries in the range of EBU, submit their “YES” or “NO” in next year’s Eurovision after the ending of the Grand Final. Till now 25 countries has already gave their consent for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, and among them is Cyprus that returns to Eurofamily after a year of absence. The participant countries so far are: Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and United Kingdom. Some of them have already gave to media the official dates of their national finals.
According to EBU’s official announcement in the media the official summations will be between September 15th and October 10th and for the first time in history there will be no “penalties” if a country decides to withdraw after her official submission.
